FWIW I see no scenario in which Rice stays in the summer, short of a bad injury before end of the season. And I for one don’t blame him one bit.

I saw in the media that Chelsea are valuing Broja at £70m after we’ve been linked. I’m guessing that this is to pave the way for a £50m + Broja bid for Rice in the summer.

Rice is different class as a player and a person and rightly has aspirations to play at the very highest level - which we will never be at. He could play for any club side in the world and still stand out.
I’d love it if he was with us next season in the World Cup year, but who knows? Whatever happens, it’s been brilliant having a player like him for the last few years.

Don’t believe this story but regardless, No one should begrudge him a move to a Liverpool or Man City in the summer.
He’s far too good to not be at a club who regularly challenges and wins trophies.
He always gives 100 percent for us and he doesn’t want to be like Harry Kane who is approaching 30 and has never won a trophy.
